Queering the Method explores architecture as a critical design process. Developed through research, it questions dominant planning methods to create more inclusive, adaptable and socially responsive public spaces. Rather than designing for a specific community, the methodology reveals overlooked experiences and opens up new ways of inhabiting the city.
For each site — Rive, Cornavin and Plainpalais — I developed a set of design principles that translates the research into spatial actions. Each set responds to the site’s layout, uses and particular challenges, giving the shared methodology a different expression in each place.
